Package departures

Every package includes unrestricted full mountain lift pass access on a daily basis with transport for you to arrive for the first chairlift.  Shuttle buses will leave downtown Queenstown from between 7am to 8.15am to achieve this at the different ski fields, although there are also later departures and you’re free to take shuttles at your leisure.

It is essential for you to arrive into Queenstown the day before your package starts, ideally on a morning/early afternoon flight in case of airport closure.  In such a scenario where the Queenstown airport is closed due to bad weather, your flight will normally be diverted to Invercargill and you will be transported by bus to Queenstown courtesy of the airline.  You can expect this to delay your arrival by up to 5 hours which is why earlier arrival flights are recommended.

You will also need time on the day prior to your package starting for us to pick you up,  check you into your accommodation,  help you get fitted with your rental gear and run through your itinerary with you.


Every day on the mountain includes group lesson tuition by qualified mountain instructors for all abilities and is approximately 2 hours long.  Choose to have your lesson in the morning and take your new skills around the mountain for the rest of the day, or shred fresh powder in the morning and take a lesson in the afternoon when the freshies are just a fading memory!
Tuition does not need to be booked in advance, allowing you great freedom on a day to day basis.

Equipment Hire

On the day or evening prior to your package commencing, we will kit you out with board, boots and bindings or Ski's boots and poles at our sponsors outlet in cental Queenstown.


Travel insurance is compulsory for everyone joining one of our packages.
We recommend World Nomads as award-winning insurers for your time here in NZ, although free to choose you own insurer.

Your insurance policy document is as important as your passport and should be carried with you. If you have arranged your own travel insurance cover, please ensure that you take your policy document (or a copy of the actual policy document) with you. Your documentation must show evidence that you are the named policy-holder and that the cover is valid for your period of travel. The documentation must also indicate that you have cover for at least Medical Expenses and Emergency Repatriation. Please ensure that a 24-hour contact telephone number for your Insurance Company is stated on your documentation in case of emergency. Packages with Park Powder Piste are not possible without valid insurance, and there will be no refund should you not have a valid policy.

Refunds & Cancellation

Although package deposits are non-refundable, they can be transferred to an alternative date for up to 1 year.

All packages must be paid for in full, 6 weeks prior to them starting. Any cancellations made from this point will incur the following charges;
More than 6 weeks notice = 30% of the total package price.
Between 4 and 6 weeks notice = 40% of the total package price.
Less than 4 weeks notice = 100% of the total package price.

Abject weather and snow conditions can sometimes disrupt your winter package and impact your snow package itinerary.
In the event of such unavoidable disruption, refunds will usually be given by the ski field or activity operator at their discretion. Any package inclusion refunds given by Park Powder Piste Ltd will be given at our supplier nett rate.
We recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance to cover all eventualities.
